Christopher Howse offers what is probably the most damning review of a book I have ever read in yesterday's Telegraph. His target is Professor James J. O'Donnell of Georgetown University and his latest book on Augustine of Hippo. I guess the Professor's publisher should have known better than to quote odd words from his negative review of the book and fashion them into a glowing endorsement...
